The National Park Service hosts a Civil War Weekend on August 11 and 12. Re-enactors will take you through daily routine beginning with morning exercises, a War Rally to recruit new troops and a crackling display of historic weapons. A contingent of confederate prisonersof war will add to the reality and a recreated Governors Island Music School will liven the air.
